Max Attempts

As a tool to combat fraud, within the Payment Router you may set the max number of attempts an order may be attempted. This will count from the first attempt and include all attempted declines for that order.

Once the max attempts is reached, Vrio will no longer hit the gateway. An error message will display:

"code": "max_attempts_reached",
"message": "Max attempts reached",

Setting Max Attempts

Max attempt logic is in the payment router.

  1. Navigate to Settings

  2. Select Payment Router

  3. Select the Payment Router of choice

  4. Navigate to the Advanced Routing tab

  5. Set the Max Attempts per Order

Q: If I set max attempts, can I still manually reprocess
