As an ecommerce company, implementing BIN blocking helps enhance security by preventing potentially risky transactions from certain BINs, safeguarding both customers and your business from fraudulent activities and financial losses.

How to add BIN Blocks

Steps

1. In the navigation select Settings
2. Navigate to the Payment Workflow section
3. Select BIN Profiles
4. Add Bin Profile or click on the BIN profile you would like to edit
5. Enter your BIN Number or a comma separated list details
6. hit Submit

Once a Bin Restriction Profile has been created, simple add it to either the Campaign and/or the Merchant. Any initial transaction coming in on that BIN will not be allowed to go through. A validation error will be returned and the transaction will not be sent to the gateway.

BIN Profiles may be setup on the Campaign and/or the Merchant.

Merchant BIN Blocks

Steps

1. Navigate to the Merchant Tab
2. Select your Merchant
3. Navigate to the Rules and Alerts tab
4. Add your BIN Profile
   1. Initial Bin Block Profile: This will block any BIN within the Profile from any new or initial sale
   2. Rebill Bin Block Profile: This will allow any BIN within the profile to accept a new sale, however any subsequent renewal will be blocked.
5. Hit Save

By adding BIN Restrictions to a specific Merchant Account, you are still able to take the sale within your Campaign, utilizing a different Merchant from within your Payment Router. Thus not losing the sale.

A use case would be a BIN performing poorly on a certain Merchant but performing well with another Merchant.

Campaign BIN Blocks

1. Navigate to the Campaigns Tab
2. Select your Campaign
3. Navigate to the Processing
4. Add your BIN Profile under Other
5. Hit Save

By adding a BIN restriction to the Campaign, you are denying any sale from that BIN to enter that Campaign.

Activating BIN Priorities

If you want to route certain BINs to certain merchants, you can create a BIN Profile of those BIN Priorities and assign these to your Merchant accounts.

2. Select your Merchant
3. Navigate to the Rules and Alerts tab
4. Add your BIN Profileto the Priority Bin Profile section
   1. Priority Bin Profile: This will route any BIN within the Profile from any new or initial saleto this merchant.
5. Hit Save
