Update Payment Method

What is this

Updating a payment method will allow a customer to change out how they are paying without disrupting an Active subscription.

You can update on a specific subscription line item, or for the entire order.

For a Specific Subscription

To update the payment method to be used on subsequent renewals for a subscription:

  1. Find the Active Subscription
  2. Go to Actions
  3. Select Update Payment Method
  1. Enter new Card Details
  2. Hit Submit

Pay Attention

By doing this, the card has been updated for THIS SUBSCRIPTION ONLY.

If the customer has multiple subscriptions and they all need to be updated, you must update each subscription with this new card. Or see below and update the card for the entire order.


For an entire Customer

To update the payment method to be used across multiple subscriptions on a single order

  1. Navigate to the Cards tab

  2. Select Add Card

  3. Enter the Card Details

  4. If there are multiple orders, you will have the option to apply to all or select the specific orders this new card should use

  5. Hit Submit

The order record has now been updated to use a new card on file.
