3DS Connections
Let Vrio authenticate cards with a 3D Secure provider before each transaction reaches your payment gateway, instead of authenticating in your own checkout.
A 3DS connection lets Vrio handle 3D Secure for you. Vrio calls the provider itself, right before each transaction goes to the gateway, and forwards whatever the provider returns with the charge. You add the connection once and then enable it on whichever campaigns you want it to run on, so you can use 3DS on one campaign and not on another while both share the same payment router.
There are two ways to get 3DS data onto an order. You can authenticate in your own checkout and pass the variables over the API yourself, or you can add a 3DS connection and let Vrio do it. PAAY is currently the only 3DS connection available.
If an order already has authentication data on it, Vrio uses that and does not call the provider. Not every gateway accepts 3DS data either — check the gateway list first.
If your payment router mixes merchant accounts on gateways that accept 3DS data with ones that don't, 3DS Priority Routing keeps authenticated orders on the merchants that can use the authentication.
