Payments Overview
Payment processing is the management of financial transactions between customers and businesses. It encompasses authorization, authentication, and settlement of payments for goods or services. This involves collecting payment information, verifying details, securely transmitting data and transferring funds from the customer to the merchant.
Understanding the payment process is the first step, having the tools and enhanced capabilities will allow for overall increased conversion as well as increased retention.
Adding Payment Methods
The first step to getting started is to add a payment method, or Merchant Account. This is how Vrio will connect directly into the gateway of your choosing.

Assigning Payment Methods to a Campaign
Once you have your Merchant Account in Vrio, you will add that Merchant Account as the Payment Type.
A Campaign can use a single merchant or a payment router as the payment type. A Payment Router is a workflow that allows multiple merchant accounts and utilizes rules and logic to determine which merchant account to use at the time of sale.

Multiple Payment Methods
No longer rely on one active gateway to accept payments. With our intelligent payment router, you can spread payments automatically across multiple payment providers on a transaction by transaction basis.
Support for multiple payment processors is the new norm for finance departments. The challenge of implementing this capability kept many organizations sidelined. Not anymore - support an unlimited number of payment processors with our configurable payment routing engine.

Decline Recapture Strategies
When a customer declines on a recurring offer, Dunning Schedules can be used to reattempt the transaction. The reattempt can be set to occur on a specific day after the decline, and also set to allow discounts to be used in the reattempt at less that the current amount.

BIN Management
BIN (Bank Identification Number) routing and blocking is a strategy used to increase conversion and control overall traffic costs by limiting sales when a BIN is poor performing.
BIN Blocking allows you to configure profiles which contain groups of BINs to block either on a specific merchant, or within an entire Campaign.

Tax Logic
Tax logic may be implemented in order to calculate the tax fee that should be applied to the sale.
It is recommended to use a Tax Connection that will handle automatic tax calculation and notify Vrio of the applicable tax during the checkout process.
Tax Profiles involve the manual configuration of state-specific profiles for tax application.
