Campaign Sales Channel
Sales Channels are setup under a Campaign, which is the top level container for all configuration.
What is a Campaign
A Campaign is the top level container for all configuration. Unlike older legacy systems, campaigns are not short term marketing promotions. Instead, they are used as a central location for the specific configurations the user needs to operate their selling strategy.
It can also represent the different Sales Channels or platforms where you sell your products. You can sell the same Items across different Campaigns.
Campaign Uses
- Vrio Hosted CDN & Custom Domain - Sell through your online store and checkout. Your campaign includes a Vrio-hosted domain at a saleschannel-vrio.app address. If you prefer, you can set up your own domain.
- Direct Pay URL - embed a button on your own pages that takes the customer straight to the Vrio hosted checkout
- Headless - Sell from your own website and insert customer records and order information directly into Vrio through the RESTful API
Features of a Campaign
Campaigns are able to be configured for the sales channel it is support. Alternatively, multiple sales funnels can flow into a single Campaign.
The core features that are driven by a campaign are:
- Items+Offers being sold
- Merchant or Payment Router used to process transactions
- Payment Logic & Restrictions
- Fulfillment Logic & Restrictions
- Branding details
- Checkout Settings
- Customer Communications
- Loyalty Options
- Marketing Details
Multiple Campaigns
Generate a new campaign when any of the elements listed above exhibit uniqueness either between themselves or in alignment with the sales strategy.
If all Campaign components are the same, use one campaign for all sales and utilize unique tracking variables to reporting on different sources and marketing details within the campaign.
