Common Selling Strategies

There are several types of sales and subscription models popular amongst ecommerce merchants.

One-time

One Time Sale will charge a customer one time; no additional charges or shipments are scheduled.

Subscription

Recurring Offers will charge a customer on a schedule and continue until the customer cancels. The charge will trigger a shipment, if a physical item is being sold, as well as schedule a next charge and next shipment.

Prepaid

This option allows customers to pay for multiple shipments upfront.

For example, if you offer a 3-month prepaid subscription option, a customer would pay for three months upfront and receive a new shipment every month for three months.

Prepaids can be recurring Prepaid Subscriptions, or One Time Prepaid.

Gifting

A gift is a One Time Prepaid where a purchaser pays for the gift on behalf of someone else, who can then claim and customize their gift.
