Customer Restrictions & Handling
There are configurable options that allow you to tailor who you want to sell to and what you want to allow them to manage.
Skipping
Within the Configuration Tab, you can determine what a customer is able to do:
- Shipment Skippable, when checked will allow a customer to skip a Pending Shipment
- Charge Skippable, when checked will allow a customer to skip a Pending Charge
Offer Settings and Restrictions
The next tab within an offer will allow you to setup some restrictions on who can purchase and how often.
Field | Description |
---|---|
One per Customer | When checked, a customer (determined by email) is only allowed to purchase this Offer one time. |
One Per Customer Period (hours) | Optional setting to the One per Customer, you can limit their ability to purchase within a set amount of hours. This is typically used as a fraud reduction tool. |
One per Card | When checked, a unique credit card number is only allowed to purchase this Offer one time. |
Global | Allows the offer to be sold across all campaigns. |
Exclude from Discounts | No discounts can be applied to this offer |
Can Pause* | Pause will update the status to Paused and will not schedule any new charges until the account is Unpaused. |
Add Shipment | Allow Shipments to be added for free to the most recent transaction. This is commonly used as a save strategy to offer more product for free. |
Editable Frequency | Allows customer to edit frequency of shipments from within the customer portal. Those frequencies must be defined if this is checked. NOTE : this option is only available if the order offer is in the last cycle number of the subscription. |
Select Frequencies | Define the frequency you want to allow your customer to change to. If left blank, all will apply |
Expiration* | How often should the order offer expire after activation. Once an order offer is expired, charges will no longer be processed until its reactivated. Once reactivated, the offers expiration will use this timeframe as the new expiration date. |

Offer Swaps
Offer swapping will allow someone to move from one offer to another, without having to cancel one subscription and start a new one. You can configure what options you want to allow your customer to do.
To allow for a customer to swap Offers it must be configured. Under Swap options select Add Swap Option.
Add the Offer(s) you want them to be able to swap to.
Swap Offer Types:
- In Cart Only - this would be like a Subscribe and Save option.
- Ongoing Subscription - this would only allow them to swap once they are already signed up
- Both would allow In Cart & Ongoing
Use CaseA customer is on a Quarterly Prepaid Subscription but wants to move to Monthly. They can go into their portal and easily update their billing frequency.
